Personal data treatment information for the Bbs Startup Ecosystem Day

PERSONAL DATA TREATMENT INFORMATION FOR THE EVENT: STARTUP ECOSYSTEM DAY 2020 DIGITAL EDITION

In accordance with art. 13 of European Regulation no. 679/2016 and any subsequent applicable legislation, we wish to inform you that the Bologna University Business School Foundation (hereafter also referred to as "BBS") processes your data for the purposes indicated below, in compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data.

1. Data provided for the execution of the contract or the use of a service

BBS processes your contact details, including your educational qualification, company, or institution details and the login and password you provided at the time of registration to allow you to take advantage of the service and activity requested during the StartUp Ecosystem Day 2020 Digital Edition event, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Regulations delivered to you, also by making them available on the Platform where you joined the event in digital mode.

In this case, it is not necessary that you provide specific consent to the processing of the data mentioned in the previous period, since the legal basis that legitimizes the processing is constituted by pre-contractual obligations and the performance of the service requested in the context of the event mentioned.

In any case, your refusal to provide the above-mentioned data, as well as the request to obtain their cancellation, would make it impossible for BBS to satisfy your request and to provide (or continue to provide) the service you requested.

1.1 Processing times

The data provided by you will be processed by BBS for the purposes previously described in point 1, for the time necessary for the execution of the pre-contractual measures or the use of the service requested, until the end of the event or in any case until the closure (which will take place in January 2021) to the public of the Platform on which the aforementioned event takes place.

1.2 Audio-visual Data and Images

BBS informs you that, since the event will be carried out completely in digital mode, the meetings and gatherings in which you may decide to participate will be carried out by videoconference. In these cases, the video-conferencing tools always guarantee the option of deactivating the webcam and microphone of your device.

The treatment, therefore, may have as its object your images, acquired also through audiovisual footage, where you activate microphone and / or webcam.

In this case it is not necessary that you provide a specific consent to the processing of the data mentioned in the previous period, as the legal basis that legitimizes the processing is the execution of the service requested in the event mentioned, without prejudice to your right not to activate the webcam.

2. Data provided for purposes of information on the activities carried out by BBS and for promotional purposes

If you wish to stay in contact with BBS to be informed about the events organized, the activities, the services, the commercial and promotional offers of BBS, including through newsletters, we ask you to give your consent to the processing of your personal and contact data for information and promotional purposes, after having entered the additional data and information indicated in the fields below.

If you have previously provided us with the data and information indicated in the fields below, it is not necessary to enter them again, as it is sufficient for you to renew your consent or express your refusal to the processing for the purposes under consideration. In the absence of choice and in the absence of your previous valid consent to the processing, your data will not be processed for information and promotional purposes.

2.1 Contact modalities

To contact you for information and promotional purposes we can use both automated methods such as e-mail and sms, as well as paper mail and telephone.

2.2 What happens in case of no consent?

In the absence of your consent for the aforesaid information and promotional purposes, BBS will not be able to inform you about its events, services offered or any commercial and promotional offers dedicated to you.

2.3 Email communications for services similar to those already requested

In the event that you do not express an express refusal, if permitted by law, BBS may also use, without your consent, the e-mail address provided by you when requesting a BBS service, to send you information and promotional communications relating to services similar to those covered by the service itself. In this case, the promotional communications thus transmitted will bear a link that will allow you to easily cancel the service, in order to ensure the exercise of your right to obtain the interruption of treatment.

2.4 Processing times related to information and promotional activities

BBS will process the personal and contact data provided by you for the information and commercial purposes described above for a maximum period of two years from the granting of your consent or in any case from the acquisition of your data. Your consent to this processing can be revoked at any time, without prejudice to your right to obtain the cancellation of your data as better indicated in the following section "Rights of the data subject".

3. Processing methods

The processing of personal data is carried out by BBS using paper and computerized methods.
